Jelsa typically writes general fiction, with occasional romantic elements sprinkled into some of her stories. Having worked at the school newspaper and written her own fiction on the side, she is currently preparing her novel Second Chance for querying.
When she isn’t writing, she also composes music for the various instruments that she plays, including piano, violin, and guitar. She also leads worship for her church and has another blog dedicated to finding correct sheet music for songs as well as good ranges for everyone to sing in. Jelsa enjoys being versatile, trying new things, sleeping when she feels like it, and drinking caffeinated beverages just to make her friends run away.
She is a psychology and child development major with a minor in music who hopes to enter the field of biblical counseling in the future. She doesn’t like putting pictures of herself on the internet, so she asks that everyone enjoy a picture of her adorable dog Waffles instead.
